About this Event
This isn't your average live album cash-in. It's a majestic, breathtakingly cinematic piece of work where the live scratches and classical strings collide beautifully.

19:00 - Portishead Roseland NYC Live
In July 1997, Bristol’s Portishead took over Manhattan's Roseland Ballroom for a one-off show that completely redefined what a live concert could be. Backed by a 28-piece orchestra, the band bypassed the usual clichés of rock-meets-symphony, instead fusing live turntablism and heavy, gritty electronics with sweeping, cinematic strings. This critically acclaimed concert film is a masterclass in mood and tension, capturing the band at the absolute apex of their powers.
Performing signature tracks from their seminal albums Dummy and Portishead - including legendary renditions of "Glory Box", "Sour Times", and "Roads" - the show proved that a notoriously studio-bound electronic genre could scale monumental, cinematic heights without losing its underground edge. Now presented in its newly restored 25th-anniversary remaster, this outdoor screening is a celebration of the iconic band that gave us the most mesmerising, haunting soundtrack of the late 1990s.
