*** Village library now installed near the bus stop***It’s been hard to not announce this sooner but we were requested not to by Penguin. We applied, along with over 2000 other communities, for 1 of 90 books stops that Penguin would be installing to celebrate their 90th anniversary. We managed to be one of the successful 90 and our book stop was installed today.
We were also donated the first 25 books to stock the book stop which will be added to the stop over the weekend. We are planning to make this a bit of an opening ceremony event and will have some hot drinks and snacks (weather permitting) to celebrate this first step with the rest of the community. Please join us 2-3pm on Sunday (14th September).
The intent is that people should take 1 book at a time and return the previous book prior to taking another.
Please also feel free to donate books by leaving them in the book stop and the team will try and rotate the stock of books.
Please enjoy this new community feature and talk to friends and neighbours about the journeys you go on within the pages. We have several other plans for community event coming soon keep following for updates.
Lastly, thank you to Jayne and Ad for agreeing to have this installed on their land. It’s greatly appreciated!!
