ABOUT THIS WEEK'S ARTIST:
Samantha Grimes is a dynamic singer-songwriter from Minnesota whose original music blends folk, rock, blues, and country into a captivating Americana sound. Known for her unique left-handed, upside-down guitar style, she has been captivating audiences for over two decades. Her evocative lyrics and powerful vocals have earned her multiple accolades including "Maverick of the Year" for 2024 from the Midwest Country Music Organization. She has also been inducted into the Midwest All-Music Hall of Fame. Samantha is a 2022 & 2023 Josie Music Award Nominee in the category of "Rising Star" at the Grand Ole Opry House. Samantha also won Entertainer of the Year for the International Songwriter Association in 2023 and 2024. Her collective streams have surprised the half-million mark and her hit single "Wendy, Darling" was named Pop Song of the Year by the WSA and is played on alternative top 40 stations in nearly 30 cities.
