Co-presented with ConneKt Film, this panel conversation will bring together industry guests to share insights into the intricacies, opportunities, and challenges of working in the Canadian film industry, from funding, distribution, and festival strategy to building sustainable careers and navigating the industry landscape.
A practical, insider look at the current challenges of the film industry, followed by an informal networking session with industry peers

All proceeds from TUFF 2026 screenings go to:
Second Front UA, a registered Canadian non-profit, collaborates with trusted partners across North America, Europe, and Ukraine to supply non-lethal tactical and medical aid to Ukrainian forces. With a proven logistics network, it has raised over $1.4 million and delivered more than $1.5 million in critical supplies to frontline soldiers.
(CUF), founded in 1995, has a proven history of supporting Ukraine through healthcare, education, and civil society initiatives. Partnering with aid providers in Ukraine, Canada, and beyond, it maximizes impact and efficiency. This year, TUFF funds will support CUF’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, launched in 2022 to provide aid to war-affected Ukrainians, including displaced persons in Europe and Canada.
About TUFF:
The ), co-presented with, returns April 16–19, 2026 at The Royal Cinema. This year's program features award-winning films from Cannes, TIFF, and major international festivals, alongside the inaugural short film section programmed by Nataliya Bek-Gergard. Highlights include Militantropos (Cannes Directors' Fortnight), To the Victory (TIFF Platform Award winner), and Flowers of Ukraine.
