This Tuesday, the MCA is thrilled to present Sistazz of the Nitty Gritty, a revolving all-women collective of multi-instrumentalist artists who explore the outer fringes of jazz and beyond.
About the Artist
Sistazz of the Nitty Gritty (named by artist/musician Lonnie Holley) are a revolving collective and network of Great Black Women Composers.
The group is by clarinetist/pianist/vocalist Angel Bat Dawid and includes multi-sensory artist, pianist, and vocalist Sophiyah E. (Detroit), vocalist/saxophonist Monique Golding, trumpeter/vocalist Tramaine Parker, and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Eva Supreme.
