Managing a diverse and growing estate across multiple academies brings continual challenges – from overcapacity and fluctuating pupil numbers to specialist provision for SEND learners, temporary accommodation during refurbishment, and the need for fit-for-purpose exam or teaching spaces.
Portakabin has been supporting education providers across the UK for decades, delivering bespoke modular buildings that are high-quality, sustainable, and rapidly deployable.
Through a partnership with Portakabin, your Trust can benefit from:
Speed and flexibility: Modular buildings can be designed, manufactured, and installed far faster than traditional builds, ensuring pupils have the right spaces when they’re needed most.
Minimal disruption: Construction happens off-site, so day-to-day learning continues uninterrupted.
Future-proofing your estate: Modular solutions are fully relocatable and scalable, giving you the agility to adapt to changing enrolment or curriculum needs.
Specialist learning environments: From science labs and SEND classrooms to sixth-form study areas and exam halls, Portakabin designs tailored spaces that meet DfE and building regulations.
Sustainability and cost-efficiency: Energy-efficient materials and systems help reduce operational costs and support your Trust’s environmental objectives.

Info: When a roof of a 2 storey 10 classroom school suddenly collapses, what is the estates team to do? This keynote will explore a real life situation where a school’s daily operation was completely upended due to an accident, it will explore the impact it had on students’ education and how a school can better prepare for various critical incidents. We will discuss planning and preparedness, walk through a tragic but also inspiring story of Kensington Aldridge Academy and find out how business continuity plans do work in practice, not just on paper.
