About this Event
Welcome to TRIP: Thoroughly Rehearsed Improv Play, where a troupe of actors have (moderately thoroughly) rehearsed a 45 minute version of a famous play - in this case, one of Shakespeare’s tragedies. One improvisor will find out their mystery leading role of this unknown show, along with the audience, moments before the play begins!
The audience’s knowledge of the play will help this improvisor play this role and do the Bard’s tale justice... or have it all fall apart in merry chaos.

ABOUT THEATRE AURINKO
Theatre Aurinko is an emerging Toronto-based theatre company with a focus on BIG IDEA theatre. With a commitment to pushing the limits of the suspension of disbelief, and championing works, new and old, that ignite curiosity in artists + audiences. The company was founded by Bonnie Duff in 2023 for the production of her play, This Feels Like The End, at the 2024 Next Stage Theatre Festival at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. This production was called a "brilliant psychoanalysis" and an "exemplary piece of work out of COVID-19" by the Toronto Star. Theatre Aurinko's work has been supported by Ontario Arts Council and Canada Council grants. Upcoming: The Thoroughly Rehearsed Improv Play, and a full scale production in fall 2026.
