On piano is Blake Hellaby a visionary South African pianist, composer, and producer, Blake weaves western harmony with African rhythm and
feeling. Rooted in the jazz tradition yet boldly innovative, Blake's work spans concert stages, studio production and visual albums.
On bass is Sean Sanby an award‑winning bassist, composer, and producer based in Cape Town, Sean is one of the region's most sought‑after session musicians. His credits span major theatre productions and global tours, alongside collaborations with top International and South
African artists
On drums and hailing from Germany, Pasca Haasl is now a Stellenbosch‑based
drummer, composer, and educator whose playing blends the subtlety of modern jazz with the pulse of African and global grooves. Trained in Germany with performances at Jazzclub Unterfahrt and
collaborations with international artists, Pascal now lectures at Stellenbosch University (where he is currently doing his PhD)
Their selection of work is made up of Trio classics by Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, South African songbook: Abdullah Ibrahim, Winston Mankunku, contemporary Cape jazz as well as Modern pop re‑imaginings.
