BRISTOL!!!Feels like it has been ages since we all got together on a dance floor - way too long!!!
It’s just been a crazy year on the road, taking my Soul Nation party all over the UK, to towns and cities we haven’t done before (and hopefully into Europe next year), but that’s meant we’ve neglected some of our favourite parties this year, and BRISTOL is one of the main ones I've missed doing back at THekla…especially as we have different rooms of old school to cater for the people who love 80s soul, 90s Hip Hop Soul & New Jack Swing, and then a separate room for our RNB & hip hop crew that love the era from the naughties, through to the twenties -we even throw in some classic UK Garage etc.... just legendary nights at our spiritual home in Bristol, THEKLA.
So it's been tough to have taken a 12 month break from one of our best parties, and it goes without saying that the atmosphere at Thekla has been well and truly missed (even if sometimes you felt the boat was tilting a little to the starboard.
So to make up for the missed parties, and to end the year in style, I asked the team to find me a bigger, roomier (and more flat) venue in Bristol this December for our OFFICIAL SOUL NATION CHRISTMAS PARTY in the South West - AND they have delivered!!!!
On Friday 13th December we are bringing Soul Nation back to one of Bristol's premier live music venues, SWX!
Join Trevor Nelson and guest djs for his ultimate old school party SOUL NATION!
Entertaining lovers of everything old school from soul, to RNB, to hip hop and UKG across 3 rooms of music at a bigger venue in Bristol than we have done before, will be MTV Lick legend TREVOR NELSON.
The event will feature sets from Trevor Nelson in both main rooms; along side a hand selected roster of DJ's taking us back in time. And now we've added an extra room of music to cater for the UK Garage ravers and soulful house crew!
Room 1 - late 90s and 00s RNB & HIP HOP (Think MTV The Lick!) Featuring Trevor Nelson, DJ Martin 2 Smoove (EVE's Tour DJ) & Guests
Room 2 - 80s and early 90s soul boogie with a little bit of soulful disco & UK Garage thrown in! With Trevor Nelson and DJ Hanif & JusNeil
Room 3 - Dancehall vibes
Tickets: Standard tickets start from £16.50, with VIP tickets (with Q JUMP) starting at £26.50.
As ever expect a roadblock, and night full of great music, great atmosphere & great people just like yourself... so get the crew together and lets celebrate the greatest music of all time!!!
