A critically acclaimed radio host, promoter, club DJ and TV presenter, Trevor Nelson is a true icon of UK music culture. Recently installed as BBC Radio 2’s daytime host, Trevor reaches over 3 million listeners daily and continues to shape the sound of soul and R&B across generations.
An award-winning DJ and global champion of R&B, Trevor has won 4 MOBO Awards, received an MBE for his work with Millennium Volunteers, and was honoured with a Gold Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards. With 12 hugely successful compilation albums — including Trevor Nelson Soul Selection and Trevor Nelson Slow Jams — his legacy speaks for itself.
From hosting MTV’s legendary The Lick for 11 years, to launching the UK’s first national R&B show Rhythm Nation on BBC Radio 1, Trevor’s influence on British music is unmatched.
