About this Event
On Sunday 3rd May 2026 join us for a 'Selfcare Sunday' wellbeing walk as head to Anglezarke Moor and Great Hill located near Chorley in Lacashire.
The walk starts from Anglezarke Reservoir car park and climbs the steady grassy slopes up onto Anglezarke Moors to Great Hill (329m) via Redmond Edge, the highest point on the walk at 392m, with views across to Winter Hill and Rivington Pike. At Great Hill we work our way down towards White Coppice and then head south below Stronstrey Bank passing High Bullough and Anglezarke Reservoirs until we reach the conclusion of our walk back at the car park.
This walk is graded as moderate to strenuous given the distance involved, sections of steep incline, boggy uneven ground and energy required to complete the route. This walk is approxiamtely 15km with a total elevation of 445m /1459ft and will last around 5-6 hours, at a steady pace, including time for rest and viewing stops.
