About this Event

We're holding a General Public Volunteer Day at our Tree Nursery in Boca Raton (22313 Boca Rio Rd) on Thursday, June 4th from approximately 8:30-10am.

The Community Greening Tree Nursery is home to thousands of native & fruit trees that will be used for future tree plantings and giveaways throughout South Florida.

Our fantastic Nursery Manager & Tree Technicians will be leading the group on a variety of activities such as potting-up saplings & weeding/watering/staking small trees. There will be activities of all levels, including ones that can be completed while seated. We welcome anyone who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty, and helping a great cause! No horticulture experience necessary.

We'll provide all of the necessary tools and supplies, including work gloves to borrow. Please wear closed-toed shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen. We'll have work gloves to borrow and water on-site (though feel free to bring your own).

The Community Greening Nursery is located on the grounds of the HabCenter (22313 Boca Rio Road). Upon arrival you will proceed through the entry gates of the HabCenter and around the back of the building to the parking lot. The CG Nursery is located in the NW corner - there will be signage on-site to help guide you. PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY ON THE HabCenter GROUNDS!

All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Event may be cancelled in the event of an Excessive Heat Advisory or major forecasted storm. An email will be sent to all volunteers as soon as possible in these circumstances.
