PBI Tower & Approach Update - FAA WINGS Safety SeminarJoin the Boca Raton Pilots Association on June 3rd for an informative aviation safety seminar featuring guest speaker Ravel Savage, Operations Manager for Palm Beach International (PBI) Tower and Approach.
Ravel will provide important updates on Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) compliance and share practical guidance and best practices for operating safely and efficiently in and out of Boca Raton Airport (BCT). The seminar will also cover the latest developments regarding the proposed expansion of the PBI Class C airspace and what those changes could mean for local pilots. This seminar qualifies for FAA WINGS credit.
Ravel Savage has served as Operations Manager at Palm Beach International (PBI) Tower and Approach for the past two years after previously serving four years as an Operational Supervisor. She began her aviation career at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and has dedicated her career to supporting the safety and efficiency of the National Airspace System. Inspired by her father, an air traffic controller at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), Ravel developed a passion for aviation at an early age and remains committed to encouraging the next generation to pursue careers in the aviation industry.
The Boca Raton Pilots Association meeting is free to all. We will start at 6:30PM with pizza, drinks and socializing, followed by our speaker at 7:00 PM. There will be time for questions and answers after our speaker. We meet monthly, usually the first Wednesday of every month except there are no meetings in July, August and December. In December instead of our monthly meeting we hold a holiday event.
