About this Event
Step into the “green world” with this outdoor herbal walk in Golden Gate Park. In this experiential class, you will learn to identify local evergreens, such as pine and redwood, along with wild herbs and plants, and explore how they can be used as gentle, effective medicine through ethical wildcrafting and foraging.
We will begin with a grounding meditation in a redwood grove near HAUM Haight, then move into a guided plant walk where you will learn how to respectfully harvest tree resins for salves and new fir tips for tea. Led by folk herbalist and yoga teacher Crystal Marie Higgins, this class is perfect for anyone curious about working with plants as allies for health, reconnecting with the land, and seeing the “green wall” of nature with new eyes.
