Please join us at the Gardens at Yellow Barn Farm on April 4th from 1-3PM to learn all about tree pruning and other tree maintenance, as well as soil conditioning. You’ll learn a great deal from Jeromy Gardner, certified arborist for over 20 years with Bartlett Tree Experts, and Luke Beauchamp, certified arborist for 10 years with Bartlett Tree Experts. Topics they will cover:
-Overview of soil conditioning and maintaining microbial populations in soil with the help of biochar. Brief history of biochar dating back thousands of years.
-Overview of pruning, including species specific pruning and how that relates to different stages of growth in trees.
-Pruning demonstrations on ornamental trees.
-Discussion on what pruning tools to have as a homeowner to help manage your landscape trees and shrubs.
This is a FREE program, rain or shine (or even light snow!). Dress for mud season!
You can find us in Arlington VT on 313 West. If you’re traveling west, after you turn onto 313, you’ll pass over the Battenkill river and see a large yellow barn on your right. That’s us! The parking lot is just past the barn. If you’re traveling east on 313W, the barn is right after Spring Brook Rd., on your left.
