The Cape Fear River runs through the heart of Fayetteville and our Botanical Garden. As we approach America's 250th anniversary, come learn the story of this amazing river and its role in the history of America, the founding of the city, the civil war, economic trade, and the development of this entire region. Experience expert historical storytelling and impressive preserved artifacts that bring history to life. This event is held in collaboration with the Fayetteville History Museum and will be presented by Heidi Bleazey, Historic and Natural Resources Manager.Audience Target: Adults interested in the history of the Fayetteville region
Format: A lecture based presentation and question and answer session
What to Know: Bring your lunch to enjoy a fascinating presentation while you eat and your walking shoes, if you want to go see the river after the presentation!
Cost: $15 ($5 for Garden Members) Note: Lunch is NOT included, but you are welcome to bring your own. Garden Admission is Included.
