Set in a serene sensory environment, you will be gently cradled in a supportive hammock, swaying slightly as you are immersed in the soothng vibrations of live sound healing instruments. This unique experience harmonizes the body, mind and spirit, offering a profound sense of peace and tranquility.

I am the guide, you are your healer. When you are relieved of the stress and responsibilities of your day-to-day life, even for a short while, your body's natural healing abilities have the space to be activated.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF A HAMMOCK SOUND BATH

• Deep Relaxation: The gentle rocking of the hammock combined with therapeutic sound frequencies lulls your body into a deeply relaxed state, helping to relieve stress and anxiety.

• Enhanced Circulation: Being suspended in the air allows for optimal blood flow and circulation, promoting physical well-being.

• Pain Alleviation: The weightlessness of the hammock can reduce pressure on the joints and muscles, providing relief from chronic pain or tension.

• Emotional Liberation: The sound vibrations can help release emotional blockages, fostering a sense of emotional balance and clarity.

• Sleep Reimagined: Many participants report improved sleep patterns after a hammock sound bath, as the experience helps reset the nervous system and promotes a state of calm.

• Spiritual Connection: The combination of sound healing and gentle swaying can facilitate a deeper connection with your inner self, enhancing your spiritual practice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Upon arrival, you'll be guided to your personal hammock. Settle into your sanctuary suspended in the air and let the pressures of the world fade away. The session will begin with a somatic progressive relaxation exercise, followed by a journey through sound, featuring a variety of healing instruments such as singing bowls, drums, a gong and shakers. The vibrations have the power to resonate through the body, releasing tension and promoting deep healing. After the sound bath, you'll have a few moments to gently awake, bringing a renwed sense of calm and balance into your daily life.

BLUE LOTUS

Participants will be offered Blue Lotus tea, an ancestral plant revered by the ancient Egyptians for its ability to activate the third eye and induce lucid dreaming. Blue Lotus is also a nervine (a nervous system relaxant) and known as the "Gateway to the Divine" because of its ethereal effects, from euphoric tranquility to heightened awareness. Blue Lotus flower is also said to enhance the way we experience sound; this, along with its relaxing properties, makes this plant ally the perfect sound bath companion.

Meet Your Facilitator
Event Photos

Jungle Flower (she/her) is a Tkaronto based poet, speaker, trauma-informed writing guide and sound bath facilitator.

After escaping a psychologically abusive relationship, she founded Reclaim Your Voice in 2012, a BIPOC survivor-led organization that creates safe spaces where people who have experienced abuse and sexual violence can gently work through their trauma. In 2021, Reclaim Your Voice received the Mayor’s Community Safety Award from the so-called City of Toronto.

Jungle Flower found healing through her work in the survivor community. Today she works with schools across the country, hosting survivor-centred workshops and sharing her sacred gifts as a medicine offering for those who need it.
