About this Event
This distinctive training session introduces practitioners to the key principles within a trauma-informed approach. Designed to develop knowledge, insight and relational capacities when working with participants who have lived experience of trauma. The session is interactive and holistic, using the arts to explore both theory and practice within a trauma-informed approach.
This session will:
- Introduce the concept of trauma and traumatic stress
- Develop understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
- Explore the impact of toxic stress upon child development.
- Develop knowledge about neurobiology and its relationship to trauma
- Support self-regulation and self-reflection skills for practitioners
Duration: 3 ½ hrs session
Who is it for: Practitioners within Arts, Culture and Education settings.
Capacity : Up to 25 people
