The Parlor is a resource redistribution project by , based in Logan Square.
Join us December 28 for some cozy afternoon yoga to beat the winter blues. We'll gather together the last Sunday of the month all winter long in the social hall in the Grace Church/St. Luke's Church building (entry through the red doors in the middle of the building). This is a gentle class is suitable for all skill levels! Beginners very welcome.
After the 50 minute class, we will serve complimentary tea and have a little community social :)
Bring your own mat, water and blanket - we will have a few mats available if needed!
All proceeds from ticket sales will support our work of redistributing essential resources in the community and reducing our community's environmental impact in the process.
About our teacher:
Amera Al-Ali (she/her) RYT200 is a registered nurse, yoga practitioner, and meditation facilitator from Chicago. Amera has been teaching for over 10 years - with an emphasis on slow and deliberate movement,energy attunement, and vibrational healing through sound and meditation. With a gentle yet clear approach, Amera invites students to listen closely—to the body, the heart, and the subtle vibrations of the breath.
Access notes:
- Access to the event is via a couple of small steps leading up to the church building, and then down a short flight of stairs to get to the social hall. An elevator is available on site that requires staff operation - if you'd like to use it, please email us at [email protected] in advance of the event so that we can coordinate.
