About this Event
Volunteers are invited to join our Hillsborough River DiveCrew Days! Join us on our new 26ft pontoon boat.
This a dive day in partnership with Tampa PD and Forst Blue. Volunteers will be on land assisting with the removal of debris from the river. This may include scooters, traffic cones, etc. Volunteers must be able to lift 30 lbs +.
This cleanup is a part of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Trash Free Waters Program and serves as a call to action to create more sustainable communities by focusing volunteer efforts on activities that impact individuals in need, lead to aesthetic community improvements, and provide a positive environmental impact. Litter on roadways, in parks, rivers, and neighborhoods negatively affects the environment, and isn’t something residents or visitors want to see in their community.
Volunteers will meet Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful's Boat Captain and Trash Free Waters Manager, Al Antolik, and join him as you travel to areas of need on the Hillsborough River collecting debris.
