Wecole to Transparency: A cabaret fundraiser for the trans community by the trans community. In this difficult time, it’s our goal to bring the transgender community together for an all out celebration. An outpouring of love and honesty. A chance for us to be -- Transparent -- about the trans experience. Please join us for, a slightly early, celebration of the Trans Day of Visibility.
As a fundraiser show, we are excited to support those who are providing the Chicago trans community with much-needed support. All profits from the show will be sent to Trans Chicago - a BIPOC- and Trans-led initiative of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center. Trans Chicago provides community building events and free HIV and STI testing to LGBT+ Chicagoans. At the end of January their funding was cut by the CDC.
