About this Event
Our annual Translation Careers Day is returning in May with an exciting lineup of guest speakers from across the language services industry, making it a one-stop shop for aspiring and early-career translators.
Find out about careers in literary translation and publishing, transcreation, and national intelligence. Gain insights about the professional context of language services from representatives of leading professional translation associations. Hear from our current MA students as they share takeaways from their translation work placements and from PhD students who have progressed to research degrees in languages and Translation Studies. These are only some of the things you can expect from Translation Careers Day 2026!
This is a hybrid event: University of Liverpool students are invited to attend in person in the Language Lounge, with priority given to PGT students and UG finalists. External attendees, particularly early career translators, are welcome to join us online via Teams. If you wish to join us online, please select βonline ticketβ at checkout and you will receive the Teams link by email. Please note that some sessions are only open to in-person attendees (see agenda).
In-person ticket sales will close on Monday 11 May. Online ticket sales will close on Thursday 14 May.
