Transglobal Music Sessions 2026 are relaxed, welcoming afternoons of music-sharing and learning.Bring a waiata, a folk song, a drum pattern, a melody you love or simply come to listen and be part of the circle. These sessions are about connection, collaboration, and community.

For some Transglobal Music Sessions we have special guests musicians who will lead the afternoon, others are facilitated sharing sessions.

We are thrilled to welcome back the wonderful Yaw Asumadu to our first session for the year. A former key member of the Ghana Pan African Orchestra, Yaw will share his inspiring musicality and deep knowledge in this special session.Expect the unique melodies, rhythms and harmonies of his home country Ghana and beyond. A multi-instrumentalist on traditional instruments, Yaw brings authenticity and vibrant energy to every space he plays in.
