About this Event

Taking place above Brighton's iconic Presuming Eds, Jesse Williams presents Trans Video Rebels, a night of short films and music videos directed by trans women, showcasing contemporary trans cinema's most cutting-edge filmmakers. Expect DIY aesthetics, liminal horror, immersive sound design, textural camcorder footage and anti-capitalist narratives in this unique screening of groundbreaking transfem representation, ranging from acclaimed shorts to rarely-screened internet gems.

An additonal donation option and a ticket + poster option is available to those feeling generous. In the interest of accessability, there are also a limited number of low-income tickets available.

Jesse Williams is a Brighton-based filmmaker, musician and film academic. With a degree in film specialising in contemporary trans cinema and narrative direction, she aims to push trans cinema into stranger, darker and more emotionally-resonant territory, while studying the work of her peers and contemporaries. Her latest film Chaser is set to premiere at TITE Film Festival 2026 in Dublin, under the FEEL BAD SHORTS strand.
