Screening of Medyan Dairieh’s ground breaking documentary film followed by a Q&A.About this Event

We Won’t Be Silent: Resisting the UK’s Arms Trade with Israel shines a powerful light on the small factory in Moulsecoomb which for 20 years has played a huge role in global genocide. Without the bomb-release components made in our neighbourhood, F-35 stealth fighters would not be able to drop their bombs on people in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran and Yemen and elsewhere within the cross-hairs of the US and Israel. During all this time, Medyan Dairieh has filmed local resistance by the community to this death factory in our midst, while also documenting the effects of the 1-2000lb bombs on people’s lives when they land.
The film screening will followed by a Q&A with:

Medyan Dairieh is the recipient of several international awards, including the prestigious Peabody Award. Throughout his career, Medyan has covered major conflicts and made numerous documentary films across various countries, such as Iraq, Palestine, Turkey, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, South Sudan, and Somalia. He is a member of the International Federation of Journalists, the National Union of Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, and the Frontline Club.
