A visual storytelling workshop blending photography, writing, and conversation to explore how memory, personal experiences, light and film
About this Event

Participants will train their eyes to see and share a short logline on an image of their choosing. The workshop is supported by film clips, readings, and visual exercises.


Facilitated by Shantre Pinkney is a California based photographer, writer and filmmaker with roots in New York and Atlanta. Her work reflects social relationships and characters coming of age through narrative, portrait and documentary styles.


Day 1: Memory & Inheritance (visual & writing exercise)Feb. 9th

Day 3: Seeing with Intention (visual & writing exercises)Feb. 11th

Day 4: Stories in Stillness (personal & fictional )Feb. 12th

Final Storytelling Project (1-5 sequence image + logline)
