Trails & Tales: A Journey along the Nature Trails & Boreens of Galway city

A guided cycle along a largely hidden network of nature heritage trails of Terryland Forest Park as well as the traditional boreens (country lanes) that still exist in the wider locality which was until a few decades ago a rural landscape of small farms and pasture lands but now lie largely within the urban boundaries of Galway city.

Those that take part in this event will by their participation become aware of how these trails and boreens can become a rich mosaic of ecological corridors, greenways and travel routes that will help transform Galway into a city defined by its green, blue and active travel infrastructure.

Please note that participants should wear suitable clothing, and bring a packed lunch, water and a puncture repair kit. Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
