
About this Event
We invite you to a morning with the Forestry Commission and Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) to explore woodland creation opportunities towards a London Tree Ring.
There will be talks and opportunities to ask key members of the London Tree Ring Steering Group questions. We'll cover funding, volunteer coordination to undertake planting and maintenance, and how to get site specific technical support to help you develop a really appealing and welcoming treescape with maximum benefits for people and the planet. Speakers will include representatives of the Forestry Commission, Woodland Trust, Trees for Cities, TCV and CPRE London.
It will be an opportunity to hear from seasoned forestry professionals and connect with and learn from like-minded individuals passionate about woodland creation CPRE's vision is to create an unbroken ring of treescapes around the capital including woodlands, nature-friendly orchards, ornamental trees and hedgerows weaving through a rich mosaic of habitats!
