Tough Trucks at the Fairgrounds WERE GONNA SEND IT IN OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!
After some phone calls and enough interest we are getting our own event on october 4th 7pm. same rules, entry, payout and classes as before. $25 to enter $250 to win each class. sxs, beaters cars, modified, then anyone that survived can enter the "All Run"
so here are the general rules
entry $25
pit passes $15
spectators :adults 10, kids 6-12 $5, kids 5 and under free
registration opens at 4pm.
drivers meeting at 6pm
racing starts at 7pm
Event guidelines
1. this is a timed event. run 1 vehicle at a time through a track of bumps, turns, and jumps. you will be penalized for leaving the track.
2. you must be registered and attend the drivers meeting.
3. you must report to the staging area when you class is called.
1st side by side, 2nd modified, 3rd Beaters ,4th All run.
General Rules
1. we reserve the right to change or add rules at any time in order to preserve the tegridy of the event.
2. all drivers and crew will respect the event and fair staff. any driver or team will be removed from the event if this rule is broken.
3. drivers are responsible for disabling vehicle safety devices.
Class Rules
Beater cars/trucks
this class is meant for stock cars, beaters you bought for cheap and wanna SEND IT!
1. no modified suspension,
2. all body panels intact, jeeps keep doors on
3. full face helmet required
4. seatbelts must be worn
5. door windows must be rolled down
6. no passengers
7. NEW RULE. IF YOU ARE RETURNING WITH A VEHICLE THAT HAS PREVIOUSLY COMPETED AND WON THE BEATER CLASS. YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO RUN BEATER CLASS, YOU MAY ENTER "MODIFIED' AND "ALL RUN"
Modified cars/trucks (no side by sides)
this class is pretty open until someone gives me a reason to change it, meant for purpose built modified off road vehicles.
1. any body, chassis, suspension, tire, engine
2. full face helmet required
3. if vehicle has roll cage and 5 pt harness doors are not required, factory jeep roll bars do not meet this requirement.
4. no passengers
side by side
1. full face helmet required
2. seatbelts must be worn
3. must have roll cage, oem accepted.
4. no passengers
All Run.
Any vehicle that has survived their class and wants to compete in a "run what you brung" class is welcome. Same entry fee, same payout.
so here are the general rules READ THEM.
GENERAL COMPETITION RULES
Competition is a timed event. track officials are in charge of stop and start times. Lowest/ quickest time wins. Driver must remain on the coarse and will be penalized for leaving the course. in the event that the competitor does not finish he will be posted as DNF.
Driver and pit crew members must be at least 18 years old . Each driver may enter only (1) time per class. Driver must have a valid state driver’s license. All individuals except drivers, will be charged an admission fee to enter the event at the pit gate.
All vehicles mustIpass tech inspection before competing. If the officials determine a vehicle is unsafe, the officials have the right to not allow the vehicle to compete. The vehicle does not need current license or insurance.
All drivers must attend the driver’s meeting 30 minutes prior to the event unless approved by the Competition Director
A vehicle may be disqualified for either emotional or physical reasons by Competition Director or track officials. Example: Drugs or drinking alcoholic beverages. (Any driver or any of his or her pit crew consuming an intoxicating agent, and/or drugs, prior to or during the event will be disqualified from the event. Drivers will be held responsible for the actions of their crew)
If any vehicle and/or driver is disqualified for any reason, no payout of prize winnings will occur for that competitor.
Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner before, during and after the event while on the park grounds. Track officials have the right to stop and disqualify any vehicle being operated in a reckless manner. Pit and staging areas speed limit is 5 M.P.H. Noncompliance will result in loss of any prize money.
Competitors must wait for the starting signal from the Starter Flagman before starting their runs. All competitors must stop immediately upon signal of the Red Flag displayed by any track official. a. THERE WILL BE A DESIGNATED STOPPING AREA AT FINISH LINE, FAILURE TO STOP INSIDE THIS AREA WILL RESULT IN DQ.
Only the driver will be allowed in the vehicle when it is being towed or driven in the pit area, staging area, or track. No riders in or on any vehicle while in the pit area, staging area, or in the track area.
Track officials will have the option to check competitor’s vehicles for rule violations at any time; prior to, during, or after the event.
All contestants must drive the vehicle onto track and into position to compete under its own power and must leave track under its own power unless for breakage
No one is allowed on the track except for track officials and contestants.
No profanity or anything considered inappropriate will be displayed in or on the vehicle. If seen while competing, the vehicle will be disqualified with loss of any prize money. Driver is responsible for monitoring their vehicle.
All open body, removable, fiberglass or soft top vehicles must have at least a roll bar substantial enough to support the weight of the vehicle in the event of a roll over. Roll bars are recommended in all vehicles in competition. Any vehicle with the windshield removed is recommended to have hardware cloth, plexi glass or some other form of driver protection installed in its place to protect the driver from flying stones and debris.
Drivers must wear D.O.T. approved full-face helmet. Helmet strap must be fastened. Drivers must wear long pants and sleeved shirts. No open footwear allowed. Fire retardant jackets and pants, shoes and gloves are HIGHLY recommended.
No loose objects in the cab or any place else in the vehicle. Any ballast must be securely mounted.
All contestants are responsible for disabling all airbags in their vehicle if so equipped.
Headers and open exhaust permitted.
It is highly recommended that all vehicles have some form of safety strap to hold up the front portion of the driveshaft in case of failure.
Fuel tanks – Stock fuel tanks in stock locations are highly recommended. Approved fuel tanks (racing fuel cell) may be relocated in the bed of pick-up trucks and must be securely mounted. No fuel tanks or fuel lines allowed inside of vehicle unless mounted there factory (like some sxs)
Contest will be governed by track officials and the Competition Director with all decision’s final.
The Competition Director reserves the right to change any safety rules if they feel it is necessary.
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of competition events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and, by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official. The Competition Director shall be empowered to permit minor deviations from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.
