About this Event
Immerse yourself in a no-pressure, cobweb-clearing, idea-sparking, writing workshop designed for writers of all levels to explore your creativity with a curated selection of timed prompts to get your ideas flowing. There is a group cap of 6 people to keep it cozy, so register today!
This is a workshop that you can attend more than once! The prompts always change, keeping you on your feet.
Facilitator Bios
Jacqueline Dawe (Wednesday, October 9th + Tuesday, October 29th + Wednesday, December 11th)
Learning from and working with teachers Natalie Goldberg, Sage Tyrtle, Tracey Erin Smith, and numerous other magnificent writers & artists, Jacqueline has been writing from prompts for close to ten years. Writing mostly creative non-fiction, she has developed many of the pieces born from prompts into micro-fiction and short stories, she has written and performed two solo shows, and co-written and performed a play in the Toronto Fringe Festival. She is published in the current issue of Feels and the upcoming issue of Petal Projections.
Joelle Kidd (Saturday, October 12th)
Joelle Kidd (she/her) is a writer and editor based in Tkaronto/Toronto. Her short fiction and essays have appeared in a variety of publications, including The Walrus, Lit Hub, PRISM International, Prairie Fire, and This Magazine. She is an MFA candidate in creative writing at the University of Guelph, where she is working on her first novel. Her essay collection, Jesusland, is forthcoming from ECW Press in 2025.
