Toqui now presents their highly anticipated sophomore album, Currents.
This new release explores the concept of musical landscapes, painting natural scenes through sound. Weaving orchestral textures with the raw energy of live jazz, the ensemble offers a fresh expression of their expansive sonic palette. From lush forest canopies to vivid, light-dappled streams, Toqui creates immersive soundscapes that reflect the layered flow beneath the surface of a river.

Toqui is excited to share the bill with pianist and composer Katarzyna Wiktorski.
Katarzyna Wiktorski Quintet
Katarzyna Wiktorski is a Polish-Australian pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader, and producer. Fusing improvisation, modern jazz, classical, and film score influences, she creates emotional and ornate listening experiences across performance, screen, and recording projects.
Aiming to balance complexity and simplicity, her sound is often described as cinematic chamber jazz with a touch of prog.
For this performance, Katarzyna brings together her quintet featuring Jade Nye (alto saxophone), Yael Zamir (flutes), Madison James Smith (electric bass), and Hannes Lackmann (drums).
The band will open the night with a set of original compositions, including a new collection of works from her yet-to-be-released album Odessa.
