LCPS is exploring an opportunity to participate in the potential creation of a local tool lending library. Join us for a presentation followed by discussion and Q&A.
Some topics for the discussion include:
What types of tools would you find most useful? (e.g., woodworking, gardening, automotive, etc.)
How often do you think you’d use a tool library?
Are there specific tools you’ve needed but couldn’t access?
What hours/days of operation would work best?
How do people feel about a small membership fee or free access?
What policies should be in place for borrowing tools? (e.g., $5 fee for very expensive tools, 7 day check out, late fees?)
Would you be interested in volunteering? (Maintenance, volunteer staff, workshops)
What sort of workshops would be useful or DIY project workshops would be fun?
