About this Event

Join us for Astoria's first ever Nowruz Celebration. This will be a beautiful evening filled with delicious food, drinks, music, performces, and poetry. The ancient Persian tradition celebrates the New Year at the start of spring (Spring Equinox), and the celebration goes on for 13 days. You will be sure to see some cultural artifacts and setup presented by Athena's owner, Tannaz Rose Hoffmann who is originally from Iran. She will perform traditional Persian dances and other dances along with her dance sisters. This will be a night to remember, and the best way to celebrate the coming of the new season.
