Tomoko Omura Roots Quintet with Visual Projections and Narration

Composer and violinist, Tomoko Omura's latest musical storytelling project, "Run, Run, Run" - an immersive multimedia concert experience that weaves together original jazz compositions, visual art, and narrative.
Following an original story by Tomoko, this powerful work chronicles a young woman's search for family as she navigates a post-apocalyptic New York City in the aftermath of an atomic bombing. Through her signature blend of contemporary jazz and roots influences, Omura transforms this tale of survival and hope into a compelling musical journey.
The evening will feature illustrations by visual artist Noah MacNeil, projected in real-time as the story unfolds, alongside narration that guides audiences through this emotional landscape. The Roots Quintet will perform Omura's brand-new compositions, bringing her cinematic vision to life through sound and imagery.
The Quintet features Jeff Miles on guitar, Glenn Zaleski on piano, Pablo Menares on bass, Jay Sawyer on drums. The story will be narrated by the actor/singer, Diana Huey.
The album will be released on November 14th via Outside in Music.
