About this Event

TOMMY MOE RACE LEAGUE

The Tommy Moe Kids’ League is a perfect activity for kids ages 5-12 who want to try out low-key, beginner level alpine race competitions. All 3 races are on Sundays, and each must be registered for individually.

These races are for entry level kids to experience ski racing in a low-key, non-intimidating environment. To that end - we do not allow the use of speed suits, "stubby" gates are used (rather than the traditional taller gates that the older groups train and race with), and parents are encouraged to cheer their favorite racers from the sidelines.

Competitors must be 5 years old before they can participate in Tommy Moe. No exceptions.

Kids who receive any coaching regarding racing race in a division separate from those who receive no coaching or instruction. If you are a member of the FVSEF Race Team (or any other race team, race program, or receive regular professional instruction), we ask for those racers to race in the RACE DIVISION. This includes the mountain ranger program.

Thank you to the FVSEF Race Team for their continued help and support of this event.

Scoring / Timing - Racers will be scored based on their best of two runs (not combined times) for single course races Giant Slalom Races. Week 3 is a Dual Slalom, and racers must complete both courses to provide a combined time.

Dual Giant Slalom Race - Racing the clock for time, but side by side with racers in your division. One run on each course. This is the format for the final race only.
