Whitefish Mountain Resort's Annual Presidents Weekend Torchlight Parade and Fireworks – Saturday, February 17
Join us for a memorable evening of fun during the bustling Presidents Weekend! Come watch the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks, or sign up to participate—details below.
Event Details:
- Time: The Torchlight Parade and Fireworks will begin at 7:00 PM, just outside Ed & Mully’s Restaurant in the Upper Village (3905 Big Mountain Road). The fireworks will follow immediately after the parade.
- Spectators: For the best viewing, gather at the bottom of Ed’s Run, near Ed & Mully’s.
- Night Skiing: Chair 2 will be closed for night skiing from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM to accommodate the Torchlight Parade and Fireworks. Chairs 3 and 6 will remain open.
Schedule:
- 6:15 PM – All Torchlight participants meet at the bottom of Chair 2.
- 6:15 PM - 7:30 PM – Chair 2 closed for Torchlight Parade and Fireworks.
- 6:30 PM – Torchlight participants load Chair 2 (must be pre-registered).
- 7:00 PM – Torchlight Parade and Fireworks begin.
- 7:30 PM – Night Skiing resumes.
How to Participate in the Torchlight Parade:
Registration:
- Register online by 4:30 PM on the day of the event.
- Participants must be intermediate or expert skiers or snowboarders and at least 8 years old.
- If under 12, a parent/guardian must register with you and accompany you during the event.
To Participate:
- A valid lift ticket or season pass is required.
- Arrive at the bottom of Chair 2 by 6:15 PM.
- Meet our Ski and Ride School staff who will guide the parade, load the chairlift, provide your torches, and lead you down Ed’s Run.
- We recommend wearing low-visibility goggles, a helmet, and outerwear you don’t mind getting dirty.

REGISTRATION
What do I do after I register?
Please double check your entry, make sure it is right. You will be emailed a confirmation/receipt.
What are my responsibilities as a competitor?
Events are a group effort. It requires timeliness and accountability of not only the event staff, but of each competitor. There are many details each person is responsible for in order for us all to have a fun day on the snow. Making sure your information is accurate, you are on time and prepared for each event is required.
TRANSPORTATION, PARKING AND SHUTTLES
What are my transport options getting to the event and around the village?
The SNOW Bus will also operate between Whitefish and Whitefish Mountain Resort. A shuttle will operate in the upper village areas, and all parking lots will be open through the event. Please obey all parking signage and park as per normal.

TICKET INFORMATION
Can I transfer my entry to my friend if I can’t make it to the event?
No. See refund information above. New registrations must be completed by the competitor / guardian. You can request a refund, and your friend should register independently.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is not required to print your ticket, but it can be helpful. If you intend on purchasing a discounted lift ticket, it is required.
REFUND INFORMATION
What if I can't attend after registering?
If you can't make it, please request a refund and cancel your spot so someone on the waitlist can take it!
To cancel your registration:
- Click the link in your confirmation email and select “Go to My Tickets”.
- Then click “Cancel My Order”.
Alternatively, log into your Eventbrite account, click the dropdown in the upper right, select “Tickets”, then choose the event and follow the “Cancel My Order” option.
