Join the Jackson County Master Food Preservers for this hands-on canning class. Tomatoes are canned to give us a taste of summer during winter. This class will cover all you need to know to safely prepare and can tomatoes. Home-canned salsa is another delicious taste of summer.In class, we will make OSU “choice salsa.” We will also demonstrate the critical elements of making safe salsa, the differences between canned salsa and fresh salsa, and ways to freshen your canned salsa so you can enjoy that “fresh” salsa taste anytime.
