Join us this Saturday for a group trail walk along the Historic Savannah Ogeechee Canal Trail at Tom Triplett Park!!The goal is to show more people the beautiful trails here and have conversations about the importance of warehouse free parks, so invite a friend. When more people know the park and care about it, there are more voices to speak out against horrible warehouses that will cover wetlands and sit empty for years. A warehouse will add truck traffic, noise, flooding risk, blight, and pollution to the area. It’s clear there should be no warehouses at Tom Triplett Park!!
The plan is to walk the Savannah Ogeechee canal trail that connects thru TTP. The walk will be a casual pace, roughly 3.5 miles, and will cross the staring point half way to grab anything or for a shorter walk.
We will begin talking about the impacts of potential warehouses and the recent rulings by the Pooler City Council at 2pm and begin walking by 2:15pm.
Meeting point: the very back of TTP, past the dog park, near the sports fields. You’ll see people.
Reach out if you have any questions! See you soon!
