Britský bubeník a skladatel Tom Skinner přijíždí do Prahy se svým sólovým projektem Voices of Bishara, jedním z nejzajímavějších těles současného londýnského jazzu, ve kterém se pojí jazz, elektronika a africké vlivy alias kam až se může vydat jazz, který se nebojí budoucnosti.
Tom Skinner je už po dvě desetiletí klíčovou postavou londýnské jazzové scény. Spoluzakladatel průlomových Sons of Kemet, vyhledávaný spolupracovník špičkových elektronických producentů, autor vlastních nekonvenčních projektů (Hello Skinny) a v neposlední řadě také člen experimentální rockové formace The Smile. Jeho první sólové album vydané pod svým jménem Voices of Bishara (2022) bylo kritikou považováno za jedno z nejlepších jazzových alb roku. Do Prahy přijíždí s novým albem Kaleidoscopic Visions (2025) a vystoupí v neobvyklé sestavě: Tom Skinner – bicí, perkuse; Tom Herbert – kontrabas; Francesca Ter Berg / Kareem Dayes – violoncello; Chelsea Carmichael – tenor saofon, flétna; Robert Stillman – tenor saxofon, basklarinet.

British drummer and composer Tom Skinner is coming to Prague with his solo project Voices of Bishara, one of the most intriguing groups in today’s London jazz—where jazz, electronics and African influences merge, showing how far jazz unafraid of the future can go.
For two decades, Tom Skinner has been a central figure in the London jazz community. He is the co-founder of the pioneering Sons of Kemet, a sought-after collaborator of top electronic producers, the author of his own unconventional projects (Hello Skinny), and last but not least also a member of the experimental rock formation The Smile. His first solo album under his own name, Voices of Bishara (2022), was hailed by critics as one of the best jazz albums of the year. He comes to Prague with his new album Kaleidoscopic Visions (2025) and will perform in an unusual lineup:
