About this Event

Together We Can is our lived-experience mental health network, bringing people together to share what’s working, what isn’t, and what needs to change across Leeds. It’s a space where people feel heard, supported, and included, with a strong focus on improving mental health services for everyone.

The group is made up of people with real experience of mental health challenges, carers, and community members who want services to feel more human, more responsive, and easier to access. This insight shapes everything we do. Members have helped influence the Leeds Mental Health Framework, created the six Mental Health “I Statements,” and continue to guide plans across the city so that decision-makers understand what people actually need.

Together We Can runs regular sessions, conversations, and opportunities for people to get involved at whatever level feels right for them. Some people simply come along to feel connected and understood; others share feedback, take part in workshops, or get involved in shaping service improvements.

Everything we do is about strengthening voices, reducing stigma, and making sure lived experience is at the heart of mental health work in Leeds.
