About this Event

So what is this class all about?

TNN Sonic Tonic is an immersive, full body sound healing experience rooted in rest. A passionate advocate for rest, Valerie will first guide you through accessible grounding practices, including calming breathing exercises and gentle stretches, before inviting you into a restful meditative state through the medium of sound.

Using her voice alongside high frequency instruments, including alchemy crystal singing bowls, chimes and more, every cell in your body will be bathed in sonic frequencies intended to calm overstimulated minds and nervous systems - perfect for those feeling caught up in the hustle culture of Hong Kong.

Suitable for all levels, with modifications and variations offered to accommodate all participants.

We aim to make fitness for mental health accessible in Hong Kong. That’s why we offer places in our classes for free for those experiencing financial hardship.

This sound healing class costs $605 to run; including $255 for the NGO discounted rental of the space.

If you donate, you will be ‘paying it forward.’ This will provide spaces in our next Move Partners class for someone facing financial hardship and continue to support our Move Partners programs and other support groups. We want everyone to have access to the support they need, regardless of their identity or circumstance.

Please note this class will be hosted at The Yoga Lane *Studio tbc in Sai Ying Pun. Kindly arrive 5-10 minutes before class in order to settle in and ensure an optimal experience for all attending.

Move Partners

Taking part in physical activity can improve mental health in many ways; better sleep, happier moods, managing stress, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts, improved self-esteem, and connection to the community, to name a few.

Move Partners is a collaborative project between The New Normal Charity and organisations, professionals, and athletes. We aim to reinforce the connection and the importance of moving to help support our mental health.

Valerie Teh Jagger

Valerie (she/her) is a self-care facilitator weaving mindfulness, sound, breathwork and movement into her spaces to support and empower. Her offerings stem from a desire to help others help themselves, inviting personal transformation in all shapes and forms. She is a passionate advocate for down time, believing that rest is truly best and an essential pillar of wellbeing for those living amidst the hustle culture of Hong Kong.
