About this Event
A summer night. Trans-women, drag queens, and street youth fought back against police at Compton's Cafeteria in the Tenderloin. It was one of the first LGBTQ+ uprisings in US history – three years before Stonewall.
SIXTY YEARS later, we are still here! Still rioting!
Join us for the TL Mardi Gras parade beginning at 398 Eddy Street. We will parade down to Myrtle Street and move into 835 Larkin Street. There, we will experience the Compton's Cafeteria Riot Play, LIVE.
We have bought out the night. Tickets are free for everyone who participates in the Mardi Gras parade. RSVP through this site to save your spot.
Wear beads. Wear black. Dress up for a fabulous evening.
