About this Event
🍶 TJ Tuesday - Private Sake Tasting Night
*A curated evening of Japanese rice wine, good food, and great company*
About This Event
Join fellow TJC alumni for an intimate sake tasting session led by one of our own — **Lennard Kwek (Batch 93/94)**, a certified sake sommelier with a deep passion for Japanese rice wine culture.
Whether you're a seasoned sake enthusiast or simply sake-curious, this is a relaxed, convivial evening designed to deepen your appreciation of one of Japan's most nuanced beverages — in the company of people who share a common thread.
What to Expect
Lennard will guide you through three distinct styles of sake, each with its own character and flavor:
• 🌸 Junmai Daiginjo — The pinnacle of sake craftsmanship, brewed with highly polished rice. Expect elegant floral and fruity aromatics, a silky texture, and a clean, lingering finish.
• 🍄 Yamahai Junmai — A traditional brewing method rarely seen among modern producers. Bold and full-bodied, with earthy umami depth.
• ✨ A Surprise — A third style to round out the evening.
Light Japanese small plates — edamame, chicken karaage, and more — will be served to complement the tasting.
