As part of our Tiny Shelf Concert series, we'll be welcoming DJ Twelve Gage to Call & Response Books on Saturday, September 20 in collaboration with the Concert Conversations series!

Mario Gage--stage name Twelve Gage--has been DJing for over 20 years. Since 2011 he has been the host of a bi-weekly Classic HipHop radio show called "The Essence" on WHPK 88.5. He DJs at parties and events across the Chicagoland area and the country.
Angel Idowu most recently served as the first Art Correspondent for PBS Chicago, as a TV Anchor and Reporter, working to bridge the gap between art and accessibility. Some of her most notable interviews include Marlon and Tito Jackson, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Theaster Gates. She is also an independent commercial filmmaker and journalism educator.
