Hello!I am hosting an event at the end of the month to help ensure all community members have plans in place for their last days. I am a public notary and will be providing free notary services for any completed documents in need of them.
I am currently looking for some help to make this event especially successful:
*A hospice worker to come tell stories and answer questions about what death looks like and what supports are available.
*An estate attorney to provide examples of what they have seen happen when people do not provide appropriate end-of-life documents and/or provide general advice for how to fill out forms in the most legally protective ways.
*A face painter...I know, this sounds nuts. But I am hoping to provide levity to help ground the idea that death isn't meant to be feared. Face painting ties into the Halloween spirit and gives adults a bit of silliness.
*Donations of black, Halloween, or Dia de los Muertos table cloths, decor, candy buckets, etc.
I am a low-income neighbor. This event will be free and I will make no money off of it. I appreciate any help I receive to make it a success, even if it's just a share of the flyer on community boards in places you frequent!
