About this Event

Want to learn how to Tie Dye with colors that complement each other and a technique for focusing and relaxing to let your creativity flow?

Join Juliette O'Brill, Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design Admissions Outreach Counselor and Artist, for this artful event and create a one of a kind tie dyed shirt after a short review of color theory and a wellness activity, on Saturday, April 13 at Meininger's Denver store, 499 N. Broadway, from 11am-2pm.

Engaging in a practice of centering and grounding before making art can have a profound effect on the decision making process. By taking a moment to center, you have an opportunity to slow down and calm allowing your creative process to emerge. Grounding is similar and helps to build confidence in the present moment.

Workshop Schedule:

  • 11:00-11:15 - Check-In, get supplies
  • 11:15-11:45 - Art Health and Wellness activity on paper (or bring your own sketchbook)
  • 11:45-12:00 - Reflection
  • 12:00-1:45 - Tie Dye activities
  • 1:45-2 - Clean up and take your Tie Dyed piece home with instructions!

Please plan to be present by 11:10 to participate in the Health and Wellness activity, otherwise Tie Dye will be happening from 12:00-2pm
