In a world dominated by renewed military conflict - how do we tell the human stories behind major historic events. Whose voices are remembered and how do we recreate history to shape our understanding of the past. History is mostly remembered through the lens of the victors, yet many of its most profound stories remain unheard. At this black-tie evening, multi award-winning writer and documentary producer Sebastian Peiter will share insights about bringing overlooked historical narratives to life for worldwide audiences.
The Manchester based Producer will be drawing on his strict anti-military upbringing, how his own family is still affected today by the effects of WW2. His journey from art school in the German province to Swinging London of the Nineties, working for the BBC, setting up his company producing and distributing history programmes for Paramount, UKTV, History Channel, Canal+, Bilibili (China) and most state broadcasters in Europe.
