Why a Swim/Cruise?
For open water swimmers, the Caribbean is a paradise waiting to be explored. From secluded beaches to hidden coves, the region offers a wealth of stunning and challenging swim spots. Not all swimming adventures have to be limited to shore excursions or race events. Swim Cruise combines the luxury and comfort of Windstar Cruise Lines with expertly curated swim experiences, making it the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.
The Experience
Our itineraries are designed to cater to swimmers of all levels, offering a range of distances and conditions to suit everyone from beginners to seasoned marathon swimmers. Picture yourself arriving at stunning beaches and hidden swim spots, greeted by sandy shores and crystal-clear waters. On select days, weather permitting, you may also have the chance to dive from the marina deck of a boutique Windstar yacht, swimming alongside vibrant marine life directly from the ship.
Non-swimming partners? No problem! While swimmers take to the water, non-swimmers can enjoy yourself at the beach, snorkeling, go on guided shore excursions or simply relax on the yacht. This unique offering creates an inclusive experience, ensuring everyone gets the most out of their Caribbean escape.
This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate swimmers seeking Total Immersion instruction in the open water. Our philosophy is Kaizen swimming; creating continuous improvement by setting your intention to improve one swim skill at each session.
This is a technique-focused camp, teaching you to swim in open water with greater ease and flow, which allows you to swim long distances utilizing thousands of effortless uninterrupted strokes. Our camp is perfect for triathletes seeking to exit the water fresh and ready for the bike.
The Total Immersion Effortless Endurance – Level 1 workshop and Smart Speed Workshop – Level 2 is integrated with an open water workshop to give you an intense 6 day program. The experience adjusts in real time based on the needs of the group.
PREREQUISITS: It is recommended that attendees be able to swim 200 yards/meters comfortably to obtain the greatest benefit from this open water experience and have some familiarity with the Total Immersion drill sequence using balance, streamline, and propulsion.
You do not have to have open water experience. Most beaches are shallow with clear blue water and white sand.
You do not have to qualify with a specific speed. This is a highly interactive swim workshop. The amount of swimming will be in the form of short distances where you’ll begin to feel what changes can do for you. Longer distance swims are optional
