Warm summer breezes, ocean views, and volleyball under the setting sun. Thursday nights on the sand are about more than just the game — this league brings together fun competition, great people, and one of the best ways to spend a summer evening in Newport Beach.Whether you’re brand new to beach volleyball or already love being out on the sand, this league is a great way to stay active, meet people, and make Thursday nights something to look forward to. Sign up as an individual or a team. No team? No problem. Individuals can register solo and we’ll help place you on one, small groups can register individually and invite their crew, and full teams with 5 or more can rally their squad and compete together.
These leagues always sell out, so for summer we’ve added a new 5:15 PM division to open up more spots and take advantage of the extended daylight.

🕒 Game Times: 6:15 PM & 7:10 PM
☀️ New Early Division: 5:15 PM games only
📍 Where: Balboa Beach Fire Pits – just north of Newport Balboa Pier

🏆 League Format + What’s Included:
• 8-week season: 7 games + playoffs for qualifying teams
• Coed 4v4 format with a minimum of 2 female players on the court
• Each match is best of 3 games to 21 (rally scoring, cap at 25)
• 5:15 PM Division – Beginner / Intermediate mix, with 5:15 PM games only
• Party Division – Beginner, with game times that rotate between 6:15 PM and 7:10 PM
• Premier Division – Intermediate, with game times that rotate between 6:15 PM and 7:10 PM
• Nets, lines, and balls provided
• Photographer onsite for 3+ weeks
• Dri-Fit team shirts for players registered by Opening Night

Important: If you sign up for one of the regular evening divisions, you will not be scheduled for 5:15 PM games.
