- Learn how to make appropriate asks (referrals, introductions, informational chats) in a way that feels genuine and respectful
- Build a simple follow-up system so networking conversations actually turn into meaningful relationships and opportunities
- Activities:
- Conversation Starter Practice: Participants will practice 3–4 opening lines and get feedback in a low-stakes, supportive environment
- "Tell Me About You" Role Play: Paired activity where participants practice talking about their work/goals in natural language (not corporate-speak)
- The Ask: Guided discussion on how to request referrals, introductions, or informational chats without feeling pushy; participants will draft their own version
- Follow-Up System Setup: Participants will choose a simple follow-up method (email template, calendar reminder system, or contact tracking) and commit to one action before leaving
